| Strategic Vision
All successful businesses have a clear vision. To move forward positively and ensure you do not lose sight of your aim you must clearly define your vision before you begin any other aspects of the practice.
The first step for you, if you are not clear about your vision in practice, or not sure about which direction you are going in, is to take some time out and think about what you want to achieve from dentistry. Ask yourself some thought provoking questions, such as, where do you want to be in ten years time? Do you want to be in practice? What type of patients do you want to treat?
By using this time to think about what you want, your vision will emerge or become clearer. It may take time, days, weeks, even months, but once you know what it is, the hard part is over and all you have to do is plan and execute. Defining a clear vision and writing it down on paper is the first and most important step of running a successful business. |
